FEATHERED FRIEND

STUDENT WORK - UX Design

This assignment was to create a birdwatching app called Feathered Friend.  I designed the app so that the user can find birds by location, or find locations by bird.  The user can also record a bird's chirp, take a photo, or type in a description in order to ID a bird.

If the bird is correctly ID'd, the user can then save that bird to their "Nest", along with the location of the bird and the date.

HOW IT WORKS

LOCATING BIRDS

Feathered Friend will tell you the different kinds of birds that have been sighted in your current location, and you can do a search for new locations.  You can also type in the name of a bird and the app will tell you the closest location in which that bird can be found near you.

ID A BIRD & SAVE TO NEST

In order to ID a bird, you can record a chirp, take a photo, or type in a description of a bird in the app.

If the app has correctly ID'd your bird through the image or sound recognition, or through your description, you can then save your bird to your "Nest".  In your Nest you will see all of your saved bird sightings, which include the names of the birds, locations where you saw/heard them, and the dates of the sightings.

BIRD INFO

Search for a specific bird to learn facts about it.
